A new museum, presented by renowned poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko to Moscow, will open in his dacha in Peredelkino. The poet cut off a part of his country plot and constructed there a two-storeyed house with the overall area of about 1 thousand square meters. The ground floor houses a collection of photos taken by Yevgeny Alexandrovich during his trips, as well as a painting and sculpture hall, filled with gifts to Yevgeny Yevtushenko. The foreign section includes works by Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger, Marc Chagall, Georges Braque, and Max Ernst. The collection of modern Russian art presents works by Oleg Tselkov, Alexander Bibin, Sergey Moiseenko, and others. The first floor of the museum is given over to literary exhibits. Here are the first editions of Yevtushenko’s books, the poet’s photos together with Robert Kennedy, Pablo Picasso, Robert Frost, etc. among rare artifacts there are authographs of outstanding contemporaries, including Boris Pasternak's parting word.
